Essential Functions:
Implements the Individual Service Plan and offers information for Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
Ensures the overall health and safety of the clients in the home, out in the community and during transport through safe driving.
Provides incoming staff with detailed documentation of the days events through shift
exchange sheets and medical logs.
Assists clients with their personal finances and providing the necessary documentation for income, expenses and /or corporate funds as directed by the Program Manager.
Assists with residential activities such as maintaining client’s personal belongings,
organizing and selecting appropriate outfits for work and recreation.
Involve clients in community activities and events to add to life experiences and community living.
Completes and/or assists with all home management activities, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc.
Ensure that clients keep up with their personal hygiene and grooming, such as showers, tooth brushing, shaving, hair cuts and fingernail clipping.
Promotes a safe and caring co-habitat where clients can learn from staff members and other clients alike and grow while enjoying a healthy and productive lifestyle.
Understand internal and external policies and follow employee rules of conduct and
performance set forth by Beacon - Keystone.
Participates in the interdisciplinary process by carrying out the goals and services described in the individual service plan(s).
Promotes community awareness by demonstrating responsible, courteous behavior and a positive perception of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Participates in regulatory and agency in-service training provided by Beacon - Keystone
including First Aid/CPR, Safe Crisis Management and Medication Administering Training.
Transport clients to medical appointments as needed; ensuring accurate record keeping from those appointments.
