Overview

Behavior technicians work in our highly specialized programs where we serve individuals with exceptional levels of interfering behavioral and mental health needs. These individuals may have a history of high-risk behaviors, crisis situations, and multiple failed placements.

These homes have been extensively modified to support daily behaviors and ensure the safety of residents through consistent interventions.

 

Undergo specialized training in redirection, de-escalation, and crisis management as a behavior technician. We prioritize your safety and well-being by offering continuous support and resources to effectively manage challenging situations.

 

As a behavior technician, you will be involved in managing intense interfering behavioral health, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, providing assistance and training in daily living skills, transportation, and supervision, all while promoting a person-centered approach.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

As a behavior technician, you will be responsible for facilitating individualized treatment plans, promoting skill acquisition, working one-on-one with individuals, providing quality care, maintaining confidentiality, upholding house guidelines, cooking meals, attending appointments, completing documentation, ensuring cleanliness, remaining accessible for 24/7 care, following ethical guidelines, recognizing and reporting incidents, administering medications, maintaining certifications, being on-call, and fulfilling other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Education & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of previous experience working in high acuity environments with intense behaviors.
• RBT experience preferred.
• Ability to work with and care for adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders. 

• Exhibits ability to think quickly and act calmly in emergent situations.
• Possesses physical stamina required to help individuals move around.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and remain eligible insurable under the BSLS insurance
coverage policy.

• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.

Shift and Schedule

2 - KCR Varies

Schedule

Week1: 10pm-7am Thursday - Saturday

Week2: 10pm-7am Sunday - Wednesday
